Course outline generator

Generate a course outline from your material

Start with the structure. Upload a document, deck or transcript and Coursecast proposes a course outline — a title, summary, learning objectives and a lesson list — that you can refine before it writes the full lessons.

How it works

  1. Add your source — PDF, Word, PowerPoint, transcript or pasted text.
  2. Set the shape: audience, number of lessons, length and tone.
  3. Claude plans the outline first — a course title, a short summary, learning objectives and a titled lesson list, each with a one-line description.
  4. Keep going: Coursecast then writes each lesson in full — narration script, key points and knowledge checks — which you edit and export.

Use it to

  • Sketch a curriculum before you commit to writing it
  • Check that your source covers everything a learner needs
  • Agree the structure with a stakeholder, then draft the lessons

The outline is a starting point you control — reorder, rename, add or cut lessons before the full draft.

FAQ

Course outline generator

Can I edit the outline before the lessons are written?
Yes. The outline appears first and every part is editable; the full lessons are drafted from the structure you approve.
How many lessons can it make?
You choose, and a typical course is three to eight lessons. Shorter, focused courses tend to teach better.
Is it free?
Yes, during early access. See Pricing.
