AI drafting moves the work from writing to reviewing. That's a good trade only if review is fast and focused. This checklist is what we recommend for subject-matter experts reviewing a Coursecast draft, or any AI-drafted training.
Start with the gaps
- Read the review notes first. Coursecast lists what your source doesn't cover and claims an expert should verify.
- Check the objectives. Are these the right three to five things people must be able to do?
- Check the scope. Is anything included that isn't in the source? Cut or confirm it.
Check the facts
- Numbers, deadlines, limits. Compare every one to the source.
- Names of tools, teams and roles. These change often.
- Steps in order. Procedures must match the source sequence.
- Absolutes. Watch for "always" and "never" that the source doesn't say.
Check the learning
- Questions test application, not trivia.
- Exactly one correct answer, and it's marked.
- Explanations cite the rule, in the source's terms.
- Tone fits the audience.
- Sensitive content is removed: names, personal data, confidential detail learners don't need.
Sign off explicitly
Record who reviewed the draft, which source version they reviewed against, and the date. Coursecast's roadmap builds this in as approvals on each release; today, a line in your course notes works.
