Some of the best explanations in any organization happen live: a senior engineer walking through an incident, a product manager demoing a feature. Transcripts make that knowledge reusable.
Get permission first
Only use recordings you have the rights to use, with the consent of the people in them. Remove personal data that learners don't need.
Export the transcript
Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet can export transcripts as .vtt or .txt files; many video tools export .srt captions. Coursecast reads all three.
Restructure, don't transcribe
Conversations wander. A good course reorders the content into a teachable sequence, cuts the tangents and adds the checks. That's what Coursecast's drafting does, and its review notes will flag anything the recording left unclear.
Try transcript to course.
